February 2026
Community. Movement. Progress.
February is all about honoring where Pilates began, celebrating your milestones, and continuing to evolve how we support every body in our studio. Here’s what’s new this month:
🎉 Celebrating 100 Sessions – Jennifer Pope’ s Journey to 100
We’re thrilled to celebrate our first member to reach 100 sessions—Jennifer Pope! 🎉
Her quiet consistency, dedication, and steady growth truly reflect the heart of Sweetgrass Pilates. While Jennifer may shy away from the spotlight, we love seeing her show up 5–6 times a week and put in the work. Her love of pilates and learning the value of pilates with precision is humbling. Consistency of 3 or more times a week helps to build the best fitness and wellness plan for most bodies and she has exemplified the dedication of practice. Please join us in celebrating this incredible milestone when you see her in class!
🌿 Sweetgrass Flow 65+ Osteo-Friendly Workouts Expanded
We’re excited to deepen our commitment to safe, osteo-friendly movement with Sweetgrass Flow 65+—designed to support bone health, balance, posture, and overall strength.
What’s new:
Added class time: Mondays & Wednesdays at 11:00am in January were well accepted so we will keep the new class times.
New Senior 8 Pack (65+) – 8 Sweetgrass Flow 65+ sessions for $171
A flexible option for seniors who prefer a simple drop-in style pack instead of a membership. Valid for 3 months, this allows greater freedom to attend when it works best for you while staying consistent. Great for our active seniors!
📚 Focus on Contrology & the Original Pilates Method
Our exploration of the original Pilates method—Contrology—continues. Stephanie will be sharing her ever continuing studies and weaving these foundational concepts into classes, helping you better understand the “why” behind the work and how the classical principles support long-term strength and mobility. It is true love shared when you hear her talk about pilates. Life is a journey of learning and growing together in this community. Her current study is from the Contrology Handbook by Sandy Shimoda. This can be borrowed from the studio or you can purchase a copy from Balancebody.com. (No, commissions here.). It is a great read for anyone especially those interested in Open Studio. Come join any of her classes and learn more!
🤍 Open Studio Is Growing and Redefining as We Learn
Popularity for Open Studio continues to expand, as we refine how to best support personal practice. It has been a learning experience and we are so thankful for all the feedback received. Our current direction for Wednesdays at 10am:
Open Studio – (Level 2 - Unlimited Members)
This option is open to all members who are ready to work more independently while still receiving guidance and personalized planning. The Open Studio environment is just like Joe Pilates developed. People work independently primarily on the reformer and mat to refine their prescribed exercises and then get additional exercises for other apparatuses like Chair, Cadillac, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector and more, as needed. Thank you for your patience and enthusiasm as we continue shaping this offering to meet everyone’s needs!
As always, we are incredibly grateful for this supportive, encouraging community. Your feedback helps guide our growth—please feel free to share any thoughts on how we can better support your Pilates journey.
Here’s to moving into February feeling strong, steady, and inspired.
