March 2026
Spring has arrived in the Lowcountry, and with it comes renewed energy in the studio. As everyone’s schedules begin to fill with travel, visitors, and spring activities, we’re grateful to see so many of you continuing to prioritize your Pilates practice.
A Growing Studio – Welcome Reformer #7
To help accommodate the growing interest in classes, we have added our 7th reformer to the studio. This allows us to welcome a few more members into classes while maintaining the small, attentive environment that makes Sweetgrass Pilates special. Our goal is to help as many people as we can and turn away no one.
Open Studio Expansion – Saturdays in April
Open Studio continues to grow, and we’re excited to add a Saturday Open Studio at noon throughout April for our Unlimited Members.
If you haven’t tried Open Studio yet, this is a wonderful opportunity to explore it.
Open Studio is designed as an independent Pilates practice supported by detailed cue cards that guide you through classical exercises that complement your weekly group classes. During these sessions you will also have:
• Access to all apparatus in the studio
• An instructor present for guidance and questions
• The opportunity to deepen your understanding of the work at your own pace
Our goal is to offer enough Open Studio opportunities for Unlimited Members to attend at least once per week if they choose.
Celebrating Consistency – The 100 Club
We are thrilled to celebrate Lori Koschak for reaching the Sweetgrass Pilates 100 Club!
Reaching 100 sessions is a wonderful milestone that reflects consistency, commitment, and dedication to the Pilates practice. Lori’s steady commitment to showing up and putting in the work truly reflects the spirit of our studio. Joe says, "Contrology should be practiced 3x per week for results." Please join us in congratulating her the next time you see her in class for meeting the goal.
A Quick Scheduling Reminder
Spring schedules are getting busier and our classes are filling quickly. If your plans change, please cancel before the 24-hour window whenever possible.
We often see long reservations canceled close to class time while others are hoping to get in. Your early cancellation helps another member enjoy a class and keeps the schedule running smoothly for everyone.
Our waitlists are working very well, and you will be notified if a spot opens up to 2 hours before class begins. So far, we have only had one class that still had a waitlist at the time the class started, which means most members are successfully getting into classes when cancellations occur. Please feel free to use waitlists and set up notifications to be aware when you are added.
Thank you for helping support our Pilates community with this courtesy.
We’re Hiring
We are currently seeking a certified Pilates instructor to help support our Monday and Wednesday 7am and 8am sessions.
Thank you all for your patience and support while we work to fill this gap. Our instructors have been chipping in to cover these classes as much as possible, and we truly appreciate the flexibility from our members during this time.
If you know someone who may enjoy joining our Sweetgrass Pilates community, please have them reach out to me directly at hello@sweetgrasspilates.com.
New Training: Supporting SI Joint Health
I recently completed advanced training focused on SI Joint support and stability. If you experience SI joint discomfort or have had issues in this area, please feel free to let me know. I’m happy to offer modifications or additional exercises that may help support your practice safely and comfortably.
Thank you for continuing to make Sweetgrass Pilates such a special place. Your commitment to movement, learning, and community brings the studio to life each day.
With gratitude,
Stephanie
